late night inspiration.

i'm really inspired by so many things right now, and i thought i'd share a few of them in a journal..

lately i'm finding all sorts of inspiration in everything i'm surrounded by..the music, the films, the fashion, the literature, the media, the art: visual & performance. it's important to me that i surround myself around positive people with artistic minds & good energy.. i'm a very driven person and i never settle for less..never sell out..focus is everything.

here's a few of the things i'm inspired by lately:

music wise i'm really into 80's new wave/pop & 70's glam rock/hair metal

Dale Bozzio & The Missing Persons.. I love her style and her music is even more amazing..a real legend in my eyes. check out the song Mental Hopscotch.

Grace Jones is one of my icons, music & fashion legend.

i'm really into vintage films right now, the classics.

A Clockwork Orange is one of my favorite movies..so edgy, very raw. this film is so aesthetically pleasing.

i just finished this amazing personal memoir about Ultra Violet's experiences with Andy Warhol and the whole factory scene..a well written look into the lives of the people i could only dream of having conversations with..

i died when i saw Lady Gaga's new feature in OUT Magazine. such a dark editorial, inspired by 1950s horror films

Lady Gaga sported a pair of fangs when she arrived in London, so rediculous..i'm into it. her whole look in this photo is so edgey i love it.

speaking of Twilight, i read the first book a while ago and I just couldn't get into it..the move was pretty good though..i'm more of a true blood person when it comes to vampires haha.

I can't change who I am, I've got to stay true to showbiz...

I've got a lot on my plate right now and I really have to focus in order to succeed. My plans for the future have completely taken a turn for the better. I am done with high school and I have been working all summer long training in voice & dance, writing, recording & putting together my portfolio. I'm here to change the way we look at pop culture. This isn't just my job, this is my life, my love, and my art. Everything is a process, but you've got to start somewhere. This is just the beginning. Always remember: "Do what you love for free. If you do it well, the money will come." My goal isn't to be some kind of celebrity, the goal is to be a respected artist and sustain a place in pop culture.

If you want to play with fire, never let the flame die out. Not even the most miniscule spark...
